The World Summit on Media for Children 2014 to be hosted in Malaysia

Malaysia has been chosen as the host country for the World Summit on Media for Children which will be held in 2014. The event which has decided to be held on 8-10 September will be organised by the Asian Broadcasting Union and will be hosted by RTM , Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur.

Malaysia as a country has recently turned out to be the hub of activities for not only summits but has also become the polestar for reputed global companies which have set up offices here like Appco Group Malaysia, to spearhead the Asian expansion. Being a country which works for development in every arena, it is no wonder that this country was the first to be chosen in Asia to host a World Summit.

The Summit Movement has a 16 year history starting with the first World Summit on Television and Children held in Melbourne, Australia, in March 1995. Acting as a catalyst for action, the summit proved out to be a great success right from the start, with the initial summit attracting as many as 670 people from 72 countries.
